SonusQuest Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29,2026 · Effective: September 29,2026

This Policy applies to users outside mainland China. Users in mainland China should refer to the Chinese version.

Xi’an Niubai Network Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”) provides SonusQuest (the “App”). We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information, and how you can manage it. Please read it together with our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect and Use

1.1 Registration and Login (Optional)

You may use basic features without registering. If you register, you provide an email address, and we send a login verification code to that email. You enter the code to verify your identity.

1.2 Ear Monitoring Service

The App needs microphone access to record and play back ambient sound in real time.

Audio is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

If you deny microphone access, you cannot use the ear monitoring feature.

1.3 Security

To protect all users, we determine whether the App runs on a real device or an emulator. After you consent to this Policy, we read your operating system version and device brand/model. Some services are restricted on emulators.

1.4 Background Operation

Ear monitoring requires long-running background operation and receiving system broadcasts, including earphone connection, Bluetooth status, network changes, and system startup. Some diagnostic tools may flag this as “frequent auto-start”; such alerts can be ignored.

1.5 Legal Exceptions

We may collect and use personal information without your consent where required or permitted by applicable law, including for national security, public safety, criminal investigation, or where the information was lawfully made public.

2. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure

2.1 Service Providers

Some features may be supported by third-party service providers. They may use your information only to provide services on our behalf. If you refuse to provide necessary information, you may not be able to use those features.

2.2 Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except: with your consent; to comply with legal obligations; for national security, public safety, or criminal investigation; to protect your or others’ vital interests where consent cannot be obtained; or where the information was lawfully made public.

2.3 Transfer

We do not transfer your personal information except: with your consent; as required by law or mandatory administrative/judicial order; in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or bankruptcy, where we will inform you and require the recipient to remain bound by this Policy.

2.4 Disclosure

We do not publicly disclose your personal information except with your explicit consent or as required by law or mandatory administrative/judicial order.

3. Storage and Transfer of Information

3.1 We retain network log information for at least 6 months as required by applicable law. Other personal information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law or authorized by you. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

Information is stored in mainland China. By using the App, you acknowledge and consent that your information will be transferred to and stored in mainland China.

3.3 If we cease operations, we will notify you, stop collecting personal information, and delete or anonymize information already collected.

4. How We Protect Information

4.1 We use encryption (such as SSL), anonymization, and other security measures to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure. We implement strict access controls, multi-factor authentication, and monitoring of information processing.

4.2 Due to technical limitations and potential malicious activity, no internet service can guarantee absolute security. If our gross negligence causes unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your information and harms your rights, we will bear corresponding legal liability.

4.3 If a personal information security incident occurs, we will notify you as required by law, including the basic situation, potential impact, measures taken or planned, and recommendations. We will notify you via push notification or other means, or by public announcement if individual notification is impractical.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the “Me” page in the App. Once deleted, your account information will be removed or anonymized, except where retention is required by applicable law. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

5.2 Access to This Policy

You can view this Policy on the registration/login page or in the “Me” page.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable laws, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at xunshengzhe2022@163.com.

6. Children’s Privacy

If you are under 18, you must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before using the App. We protect minors’ personal information in accordance with applicable law. If we learn that we have collected a minor’s personal information without guardian consent, we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our services. We will not limit your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent. For material changes, we will notify you prominently. Material changes include significant changes to our service model, sharing practices, your rights, our contact channels, or where a risk assessment indicates high risk.
